    about1
blockquote1.pngWelcome to the website of the College of Engineering at Abu Dhabi University!
We pride ourselves in accomplishing so much in so little of a time, proving that we are on the right path in achieving our vision "to be recognized as one of the premiere engineering colleges locally, regionally and internationally that prepares The Future Engineering Leaders of the Region." Since its inception in Fall 2007, the College grew rapidly in the number of programs offered, number of faculty, and number of students. blockquote2.png

Today, the College became the largest private engineering college in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with over 2300 students served by 50 full-time faculty, 10 adjunct faculty, 9 full-time teaching and lab assistants, and 4 staff members. With 13 undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the College offers the largest and most diverse number of programs for any engineering college in the country.

Our programs are carefully selected in response to market demand, leading to a record employment rate of our graduates exceeding 90%. These graduates started to prove themselves in the industry and in joining top-ranked engineering schools worldwide for postgraduate studies. The curricula of our programs are designed according to international standards and best practices in world-class universities. Our dedicated faculty are prudently chosen from top engineering schools in North America, Europe and Australia. Our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities provide a great environment for student learning. We provide all means of success to our students, and equip them with the necessary values, knowledge and skill they need to prove themselves in today's highly competitive market.

Our top priority is offering quality education to our students, and we prove it by action and tangible results. In July 2014, three of our undergraduate engineering programs that have already graduated one or two cohorts received ABET accreditation. Other programs that started to have graduates are also seeking accreditation from the relevant international accrediting boards (ABET, NAAB, CIDA, etc.). The College has also Established active partnership with several universities known of their top-ranked engineering programs worldwide such as the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Purdue University, and the Indian Institute of Technology.

As a key element in preparing our undergraduate students for the workforce, we require that all of them spend a minimum of 6 weeks in a professional setting in their discipline for internship before graduation. This period spent in the industry gives them a real-life experience of the professional workplace. We also prepare many of them for postgraduate studies by engaging them in research projects as part of Abu Dhabi University's strong undergraduate student research program. We also encourage our students to develop well-rounded personality while studying in the College of Engineering through participation in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Many of our students secured top places in national, regional, and international scientific competitions in their disciplines that made them more confident of their knowledge and skills and made us very proud of them. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to learn more about the College of Engineering.
