She was the Executive President of the International Center of Artificial Intelligence of Morocco (Ai Movement) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Rabat. Under her leadership, Ai Movement was recognized as a Category II Center under UNESCO’s auspices, focusing on AI for the African region. She was also an exceptional-class professor at Sorbonne University, where she led the Thales Endowed Chair of Excellence on Hybrid AI for cognitive radars at Sorbonne University-Abu Dhabi. 

A worldwide expert in Distributed Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems, H.E. Mrs. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6) and an HDR from Sorbonne Paris Nord University. She has chaired prestigious conferences, including AAMAS 2020 and 2025, and initiated numerous international collaborations with institutions in Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Romania, and across Europe. 

She created and led the SMA team at LIP6-CNRS for 15 years and co-leaded the “AI and Data Science” research axis involving over 120 staff. H.E. Mrs. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni has directed 35 doctoral dissertations, authored over 200 publications, and edited 24 books and conference proceedings. She is deeply committed to the ethical and social dimensions of emerging technologies, served as a member of UNESCO’s COMEST and an expert for its project on AI and the Futures of Learning.

H.E. Mrs. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the High Council of Education, Training, and Scientific Research (2022–2027) and as an expert for the National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture (2023–2026). She is also a commissioner on the Global Commission on Responsible AI in the Military Domain (GC REAIM) and was a nominee for the Berkeley World Business Analytics Awards “Woman of the Year” (2021) for Africa."
