David De Cremer is currently the Dunton Family Dean of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and professor of management and technology at Northeastern University (Boston, US), an affiliated researcher at the Center for Collective Intelligence at MIT (US), and an honorary fellow at Cambridge University (UK). He is the founder of the “Centre on AI Technology for Humankind (AiTH)” in Singapore, a former member of the scientific committee at AI Singapore, with a focus on AI governance, and a member of EY's (formerly called Ernst & Young) Global AI Advisory Council. Before moving to Boston he was the provost’s chaired professor in management at National University of Singapore (NUS) and the KPMG-endowed professor in management studies at Cambridge University. He is the author of the following best-sellers: “Leadership by Algorithm: Who leads and who follows in the AI era?” (published by Harriman House, 2020) and “The AI-savvy leader: 9 ways to take back control and make AI work” (published by Harvard Business Review Press, 2024), which both were named by The Financial Times as books to read and reached #1 new release and #1 kindle version on amazon.com. He is one of the most prolific behavioral scientists of his generation (more than 30 000 citations), and his work has appeared and discussed in Forbes, the Financial Times, the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and many other outlets, earning him accolades as a Thinkers50 thought leader, a World Top 30 management guru and speaker, the best psychologist in Singapore (2023), the best behavioral economist in the Netherlands (2009/2010), and being included in the World top 2% scientists.
