Bachar is a UAE-based, Certified Management Accountant “CMA”, Associate Cost and Management Accountant “ACMA”, Certified International Procurement Professional “CIPP™”, Certified Professional in leadership and qualified finance and accounting professional with more than 30 years of extensive experience in senior management roles, within finance and operations’ divisions.
He is holding the position of “Acting Director, Support Services” at the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), a Regional Arab Organization, Founded in 1976, with 22 Arab countries’ members.
Previously, Bachar handled many leadership positions within First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in several departments such as Finance, Operations, IT, Shared Services, Strategy and Strategic Vendor Management.
Bachar, a member of IMA’s Abu Dhabi Chapter, formerly served on the IMA Global Board of Directors as the Regional Advisory Committee Chair for the Middle East in the Global Markets Committee. He previously was the president of IMA Abu Dhabi Chapter.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Damascus University.
