Prof-Anthony

Prof. Anthony Tzes is the Alan Howard Endowed Professor in Artificial Intelligence and the Program Head of Electrical Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He is also a Global Network Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University. Born in Athens, Greece, Dr. Tzes earned his B.Sc.E.E. from the University of Patras, Greece, and both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.

His research interests encompass robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, surgical robotics, collaborative control, and adaptive and robust control. Dr. Tzes has held significant positions including Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) at NYUAD and has been actively involved in various international conferences and professional societies. His contributions to the field have been recognized through numerous awards and honors, including first place at the 2021 Dubai World Challenge for Self-Driving Transport.
