Prof. Rosaria Lombardo is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Economics at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli.” She specializes in Machine Learning, Data Mining, Marketing Research, and Statistics for economic and financial markets. Prof. Lombardo earned her Ph.D. in Computational Statistics and Applications from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. Since 2016, she has been an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). Prof. Lombardo has an extensive publication record, with over 100 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and four books published by Wiley and Springer. She has also been an active participant in national and international conferences, delivering invited lectures and serving on Programme Committees. Her international experience includes visiting researcher and professor roles at prestigious institutions such as the University of Montpellier, the Institute of Mathematical Statistics in Tachikawa, the University of Okayama, the University of Leiden, the University of Rotterdam, the University of Newcastle, and the University of Stellenbosch. Currently, Prof. Lombardo serves as a member of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) Executive Committee for 2023-2025
