As Pro Vice-Chancellor Executive Dean for the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences, Professor McAuliffe sets the vision and direction of travel of the faculty, making all major strategic decisions and implementation of operational policy.

A qualified accountant, Professor McAuliffe obtained her PhD in International Taxation in 2017. In November 2018, she was recognised as a BBC Expert Woman for her contributions to the narrative around tax morale and corruption.

She frequently speaks at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and often collaborates with colleagues from the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration.

Professor McAuliffe is a member of the United Nations Platform for the Collaboration on Tax. She was awarded Professor of International Taxation in 2020 and is currently engaged with Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and Association to Advance Collegiate School of Businesses (AACSB) on a World Economic Forum project to develop Business Education Driving Societal Impact. She was elected to AACSB’s Board of Directors in 2021 for her contributions to management education across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Professor McAuliffe has a breadth of experience in both industry and higher education – having a strong grasp of the issues affecting the currently complex higher education market coupled with an extensive international career in the oil industry.
