Profile Details
Before joining Abu Dhabi University in 2010, Dr. Haitham Nobanee was a visiting research professor at the University of Oxford and an honorary professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of Liverpool in the UK. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester. In 2011 and 2015, he won the best reviewer award in the Applied Economic Series and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers.
More recently, Dr. Nobanee received a research grant to study the risk of money laundering in developing countries and conduct research on voluntary disclosure of anti-bribery in the banking sector. He serves as a board member on several professional associations, including the American Academy of Financial Management, Global Academy of Finance and Management, and Arab World Institute for Professional Certification.
