About the program
Interior design is a multifaceted discipline which has a fundamental effect on our everyday lives. Whether it is where we work, shop, live or spend our leisure time, our surroundings greatly influence our sense of well-being and it is the role of the interior designer to create healthy, functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces from conceptual development through to execution of the design.
Through this Bachelor of Interior Design in the UAE, you will receive an in-depth education that will help you develop the knowledge and creative skills necessary to add real value as an interior designer. The program combines both aesthetics and technology, such as computer aided design (CAD) and 3-D computer modelling, to help you create remarkable indoor environments.
You will learn in this Bachelor of Interior Design degree to prepare a comprehensive program for an interior design project which will include an assessment of client and user needs and critical review of appropriate precedents. This will entail technical elements including inventory of space requirements, analysis of site conditions, and review of relevant safety provisions, codes, laws and standards, as well as creative elements such as integrating lighting, color schemes and furniture.

Both private companies and public agencies seek interior designers for a variety of professional positions. Many work for engineering and architecture consulting firms or construction companies as interior designers and interior project managers. Graduates are equally prepared to pursue master’s and Ph.D. degrees in allied fields of architecture and design.

Tuition fees structure & calculation
Tuition is based upon the College and/or Department classification as opposed to the course classification or level. Tuition rates for undergraduate students vary from the tuition rates for graduate students.
The tuition fee calculations are an example only and are based on the assumption that elective courses will be taken with the College that the student is taking their major with. However, if the student selects elective courses outside of this College, the total cost payable may increase or decrease to reflect the tuition rate of the College where the elective is delivered.
Costs of books and supplies are not included in the Tuition and Fees. Students at Abu Dhabi University are also required to pay certain fees and other costs to attend the University. Abu Dhabi University reserves the right to change tuition and fee rates at any time. A tuition schedule is published prior to registration for each semester.
