Providing a further fantastic option for school leavers and those interested in studying for a higher education degree, the city of Al Ain is about to welcome a brand new, state-of-the-art university campus.

The much-anticipated Al Ain campus of Abu Dhabi University brings so many wonderful opportunities and fantastic facilities, you should seriously consider it as a place to study.

Located in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi and close to the border of Oman, it enables Abu Dhabi University to reach, empower and inspire more students than ever before.

  1. Unbeatable university facilities

While the Abu Dhabi campus of Abu Dhabi University is an inspiring and motivational place to study, the Al Ain campus contains all the latest cutting-edge facilities, laboratories and classrooms that students could ever need.

Providing a modern and stylish environment for students to make their mark and work towards their dream career, the new facility, located in Al Ain’s Asharej district, includes 36 scientific laboratories, a moot courtroom, 36 classrooms, a vast library and leisure facilities such as a gymnasium, aerobics studio, games room, sports courts and a cafeteria serving a range of healthy and nutritious dishes.

  2. A unique, beautifully designed campus

The design of the Al Ain campus is also totally unique.

Inspired by the Ghaf Tree, the logo of the Year of Tolerance and the symbol of tolerance, strength, prosperity and stability, all four of these values have been implemented into the structure.

The social spaces symbolise tolerance, the bold shapes of the interior and exterior demonstrate the strength of the student community, the colourful lights that illuminate the campus illustrate how creativity can flourish with the power of education, and finally the facilities create a stable and safe environment where students of all nationalities can mingle and learn together.

Within the first phase of opening, 2,500 students are invited to make a fresh start and study at this landmark institution. Eventually, Al Ain will be able to accommodate 5,000 students in its pristine, welcoming destination and help shape the great minds of tomorrow.

  1. An incredible city infused with history

Studying in Al Ain also allows students to immerse themselves in one of the most historically important and treasured areas of the UAE. As one of the world's oldest permanently inhabited settlements and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Al Ain is famous for being the birthplace of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates.

Known as the ‘Garden City’ due to its stunning oases of lush palm trees, the city also contains fascinating sites such as Al Jahili Fort and the majestic Jebel Hafeet mountain.

  2. A vast array of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects

The new campus at Al Ain is proud to offer 18 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate programmes under the auspices of the College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Arts & Sciences and College of Law.

This includes bachelors in Mass Communications, Business Administration and Architecture, Chemical, Civil and Computer Engineering and relevant, up-and-coming subjects like Cybersecurity Engineering.

Creative types can learn how to harness their imaginations with Al Ain’s bachelor of Interior Design, while the multidisciplinary Environmental Health and Degree encompasses trending issues such as sustainability and renewable energy.

Al Ain also offers an array of interesting and prestigious postgraduate degrees, including masters in Educational Leadership, Special Education, Business Administration with various specialisations, Human Resources Management, Strategic Leadership, Engineering Management and Public and Private Law.

For those who want to study alongside holding a full-time job, the new Al Ain campus also provides a number of part-time courses with seminars and lectures held in the evenings and at flexible times.

  3. Competitive tuition fees

Another perk of studying in Al Ain is that the tuition fees are generally the same, or sometimes less expensive, than the fees for the Abu Dhabi campus.

For instance, studying at the Engineering college in Abu Dhabi is priced AED 1,780 per credit hour, whereas at Al Ain the tuition is AED 1,430. For postgraduate, the fees for both campuses are generally the same, but at Al Ain you are getting a newer building, infused with the most cutting-edge design elements.

Across all campuses, tuition is based upon the classification of the college and/or department rather than the level of the course, and the costs of books and supplies are not included.
