Your life at Abu Dhabi University’s campuses will be full of opportunities to meet new people and challenge yourself with new activities. We work hard to create an environment where you can excel academically at the same time as enjoying a work/life balance.
Our Campuses
Abu Dhabi University’s flagship campus is located in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi – the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This purpose-built, 368,000 sqm facility, opened in 2006, offers an inspirational place for study and extra-curricular activities alike.
In the academic year 2017/2018 we had 150 dedicated faculty delivering the full range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs to over 4,400 students representing over 70 different nationalities.
The world-class learning environment, supported by state-of-the-art educational technology and modern facilities, houses 61 laboratories, 75 classrooms, food outlets & coffee shops, male & female dormitories, and staff housing. The extensive sporting facilities include football pitches, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, and cricket fields.
In 2017 we opened a brand-new, purpose-built extension to the main building which is home to the College of Engineering. An extensive engineering laboratory infrastructure - among the best in the UAE - spans more than an entire floor.
Beyond the campus, Abu Dhabi (which translates as ‘father of the gazelle’) itself – once a simple island settlement – is a cosmopolitan, high-rise city offering a wide array of activities from sight-seeing to desert adventures. The stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has quickly become an iconic building in the capital and the eight-kilometer stretch of Corniche includes beautifully manicured gardens, children’s play areas, cycle and pedestrian pathways, cafés and restaurants.
There are endless opportunities to get active: water-sports including wake-boarding and parasailing, traditional pearling boat trips, or kayaking through the natural mangrove forests are all on offer. Nearby Yas Island is a tourist’s dream. You can visit the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the annual Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, ride the world’s fastest roller coaster at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, or cool down at Yas Waterworld.
Of course, the universal pastime of shopping is well provided for in Abu Dhabi. Modern malls offer the latest luxury brands as well as smaller outlets where you can buy traditional perfumes, carpets and spices.
Abu Dhabi is an amazing city that continues to expand and compete on the world stage. We invite you to come and experience its magic for yourself.
Abu Dhabi University’s Al Ain campus was opened in 2003 to meet the growing higher education needs of the Al Ain community and surrounding area. The campus is located in the heart of Al Ain, one of the world's oldest permanently inhabited settlements and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today it is home to more than 50 dedicated faculty and over 1400 students representing 40 different nationalities.
The 7,500 m2 campus is equipped with all the facilities required to provide a superior education experience including state‐of‐the art computer laboratories, a micro‐teaching laboratory dedicated to the teaching programs, a Learning Support Center, a library with electronic resources available via the library portal 24/7, fully equipped classrooms and audio/visual rooms, dedicated graduate program classrooms and recreational facilities.
We deliver 18 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate programs under the auspices of the College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Arts & Sciences and College of Law. We pride ourselves on the family atmosphere we have created, in keeping with the closely‐knit Al Ain community, whilst still maintaining the highest academic standards in teaching and learning.
Also known as the Garden City due to its greenery, Al AIn is the birthplace of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates. The city is famous for its six oases, the archaeological sites of Bida bint Saud, Hafeet and Hili and its picturesque forts. Al Jahili Fort, one of the UAE’s most historic buildings, was erected in 1891 to defend the city and protect precious palm groves and is home to a permanent exhibition of the work of British adventurer Sir Wilfred Thesiger and his 1940s crossings of the Rub Al Khali (the Empty Quarter) desert.
We would love you to visit the campus to learn more about our quality education and experience this unique environment for yourself. We look forward to welcoming you.
