Abu Dhabi University’s aviation students visited the Dubai Airshow 2019 on its final day designated ‘Futures Day’, designed to inspire students to build their career in the aviation industry.
Held biennially under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the airshow attracts major players in the global aviation industry to Dubai. To attract young talent to the industry, the Dubai Airshow extended an invitation to Abu Dhabi University students. A delegation of more than 30 students visited the airshow to participate in Futures Day, the focus of which was recruitment, education, training of students through interactive workshops on career development, and opportunities to speak to industry experts. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to our B.Sc. in Aviation students to explore job and training opportunities, as well as receive advice from industry experts on how they can build a successful career in the aviation industry. The students were accompanied by Mr. Kirk Webster, Senior Lecturer of Aviation, and Ms. Zinab Al Hashimi, Aviation Teaching Assistant.
