ADU Forges Strategic Partnerships at the Second ICASF 2024 to Drive Sustainable Development in the UAE
On the sidelines of the ‘2nd International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures 2024’ (ICASF 2024), Abu Dhabi University (ADU) signed four strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at driving sustainable development, fostering research and enhancing students’ capabilities.
These partnerships with national and international institutions promote collaboration in diverse fields such as space technology, management accounting, academic exchanges and cutting-edge research.
ADU partnered with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a global leader in advancing the management accounting profession, to provide specialized programs and promote the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification. This collaboration aims to equip students with advanced skills in management accounting. The MoU was signed by Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU and Mr. Mike DePrisco, President and CEO of IMA.
In alignment with the UAE's National Space Strategy 2030, ADU signed an MoU with Orbital Space Services LLC to enhance students’ knowledge and capabilities in space technology. The collaboration offers specialized courses, workshops and collaborative projects in space technology applications. Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADUand Dr. Bassam Alfeeli, General Manager of Orbital Space signed the agreement.
ADU collaborated with Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) University of Applied Sciences to expand student and faculty exchange programs. The partnership includes joint research initiatives and conferences while exchanging innovative teaching methods and best practices and enriching students’ learning experiences. The MoU was signed by Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU and Prof. Dr. Monika Moehring, Dean of the Department of Management and Communication, THM.
