A pioneer in supporting undergraduate student research, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) has officially kicked off the 9th cycle of the Student Research Scholarship Program.
For this year’s cycle, 59 projects, represented by 165 students, have been awarded funding totaling over AED 180,000. The award can be utilized by students to purchase equipment or materials relevant to their research or as a reward for their time and effort.
The scholarship was awarded to those students who submitted high-potential research proposals and demonstrated an excellent academic record. The aim of this funding is to encourage research endeavors among students to strengthen their skill set. The awardees will be expected to present their research in the 7th Undergraduate Research Competition that will be held on 29 April 2019.
Congratulations to the awarded students and their mentors. The ORSP would like to thank all students and mentors who submitted proposals and wish them great success in their research endeavors.
