Joining Abu Dhabi University in 2008 after over two decades in Cairo University and the UAE University, Dr. El Adly has extensive experience in consulting and professional training in marketing and management. His main research interests are consumer behavior, retailing, market segmentation, and hospitality, and his research paper titled ‘Measuring the perceived value of malls in a non-Western context: the case of the UAE’ (International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, Vol. 43, No. 9, pp.849 – 869) won the Outstanding Paper Award in Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2016 and was the journal sample article for two years.
He has published many articles in the marketing field in refereed international and Arab region journals, including the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Facilities Journal, International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, International Journal of Customer Relationship Marketing and Management, International Journal of Business and Social Science, Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Arab Journal of Administrative Sciences. Dr. El Adly received his Ph.D. in Marketing from Cairo University and Huddersfield University Business School, UK.
