Credit Transfer
Abu Dhabi University will provide an official transcript of course grades for your home institution. The home institution decides on credits to be awarded for modules pursued at ADU’s College of Engineering.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible, students should hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an IELTS score of 6 and above.

Research & Events
All College of Engineering faculty is research-active, obtaining several research grants over the last few years from organizations such as Masdar, Emirates Global Aluminum, and Emirates Steel Industries.
The COE Students are also involved in research activities, participating in national and international competitions such as the Global Aviation Award of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, EGA AI Robot Competition, the Women in Research Forum (QUWA), Future Hack – GITEX Global Competition, Brain-Computer Interface Designers’ Hackathon, and NYUAD Biochip Hackathon. Through their participation in such competitions, COE students were able to secure around AED 200,000 in awards and research grants.
The College of Engineering also organizes a wide variety of events and competitions for competitions on campus, such as ehe Annual STEM Programming Competition, the software engineering day, the Annual ECBE Sumo Robot Competition, and the Annual ECBE Best Ventilator Design Competition.

My father is a civil engineer so I know about the many opportunities for civil engineers in the UAE. There was never any doubt in my mind what I wanted to study and, as to where I wanted to study… well, I’d heard good things from friends about ADU and also knew it had a great reputation in the market.
The engineering facilities are amazing. The custom-built College of Engineering facility has some of the best lab facilities in the UAE. The professors are supportive and, most importantly, caring. Each semester there is a recognition ceremony for students who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above. I think this kind of acknowledgment is important to keep us motivated.

International Student Visits
The College of Engineering has agreements to host students from universities across the world for several duration. The visit includes sessions from faculty on a wide range of topics related to the many fields of Engineering, industry visits, interactions with the host students, and visits to important cultural destinations in the UAE.

ADU Student Housing and Residence Life
Discover different cultures, meet new people, and establish life-long friendships with all the conveniences of home in Abu Dhabi University dorms.
Our segregated facilities are perfectly located on campus with access to a range of recreational facilities, shopping centers, and food outlets. There is transportation for shopping trips, and other public transportation facilities are also available and easy to use.
ADU Student Housing offers various residential options ranging from private to double shared occupancy. For the academic year 2021-2022, 163 and 173 rooms are available in the Female Dormitory and Male Dormitory, respectively.
